TUVALUAN Prime Minister and Chair of the 50th Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting currently held at Funafuti in Tuvalu Enele Sopoaga has called on Pacific leaders to be explicit in their exchanges during the Leader’s Retreat tomorrow.

Speaking during the official opening of the meeting at Funafuti in Tuvalu last night, Mr Sopoaga told leaders that their Forum outcomes must not be confined to paper trails and recycled communique and resolutions.

“We must act,” he said.

“For the good work made in the last 49th times of PIF meetings, more work needs to be done to secure a Pacific that is strong, forward looking and aligned to the 2030 Agenda goals.”

The formal session of the PIF leaders meeting takes place today.
