LEADERS of Pacific Small Island Developing States (PSIDS) have called on world leaders and people around the world to acknowledge that they are already facing a climate change crisis.

In the Tuvalu Declaration on Climate Change for the Survival of PSIDS endorsed during their meeting yesterday, leaders called for acceleration of global responses to achieve the goals of the Paris Agreement.

“We encourage countries to revise their nationally determined contributions (NDCs) so as to rapidly reduce greenhouse gas emissions and to develop long term low emissions strategies for our own economic benefit,” the leaders highlighted in the Declaration.
