Organisers happy with Suva Classic body building event

THIS year’s Suva Classics is distinct from the previous years as it also serves as the qualifier for the South Pacific Bodybuilding and Fitness (SPBBF) Championship to be held in October in Fiji South Pacific Bodybuilding and Fitness secretary Vijit Prasad commended the effort of all participants at the Suva Classics held at the Grand Pacific Hotel over the weekend.

“The response from the crowd and the participants were overwhelming supportive.

“Families, friends and the public came out in numbers to support the competitors and the federation.

“There were positive responses from everyone such that the music, sound, lighting and the overall level of organisation of the competition has dramatically improved.

On a successful showcase Prasad said the federation would not slow down and look to upcoming events on their calendar “The Suva Classics will be used to decide the two teams for the upcoming South Pacific Bodybuilding Championship to be held at GPH in October this year.

“Following that will be the Mr and Miss Fiji Championship and for next year, we have already started to plan ways to increase competitor participation in international events.”
