AUSTRALIAN Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Women, Senator Marise Payne will for the first time visit Fiji after being reappointed as the Minister for Foreign Affairs, after the recent elections in Australia.

According to a Government statement her official visit will see bilateral engagements between Fiji and Australia reach greater heights.

uring the visit which will take place from June 3-5, 2019, Ms Payne will meet with the Prime Minister Frank Bainimarama.

She will also meet with the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Defence and National Security, Inia Seruiratu and other senior Ministers.

It recognizes the renewed commitment of the two nations to strengthen the ‘Fiji-Australia Vuvale Partnership,’ which was declared during the historic visit by the Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison in January this year.
