VANUATU shattered Solomon Islands’ hopes of winning the OFC Women’s Nations Cup with a 1-0 win at Lautoka’s Churchill Park this afternoon.

Solomon Islands and Fiji were leading on points after two games and a win would have out the side in a better place of winning the competition.

Lesale Solomon scored the lone goal of the game and the win has put her Vanuatu team to six points while Fiji is second on four points.
Fiji needs to beat American Samoa to win the competition.

The Fiji versus American Samoa kicks off at 3pm.
