The Oceania Rugby Board has today confirmed that Bruce Cook will leave the role as General Manager of Oceania Rugby after five years of service to the organisation.
According to a statement by Oceania Rugby, Cook has had a strong, passionate, and unwavering commitment for developing the sport of rugby in the Oceania region during his tenure.
Richard Sapias, Oceania Rugby President, thanked Cook for his leadership and support to the organisation over the last five years.
“Bruce’s contribution has been invaluable, and together with the outstanding Oceania Rugby team he led, has achieved a multitude of milestones,” said Sapias.
Oceania Rugby added that Cook remains in the Oceania region as the Rugby Partnerships Manager for World Rugby and will continue to work in close collaboration with Oceania Rugby, Member Unions and all rugby stakeholders in the region.
Oceania Rugby will commence the recruitment process for a new General Manager in the coming months.
In the interim, Lemalu Wayne Schuster, Oceania Rugby Competitions Manager, has been appointed as General Manager overseeing daily operations during the recruitment process.
