Oceania Cup test: Fiji Bati leads Samoa at half time

THE Vodafone Fiji Bati leads at halftime against Toa Samoa by 30-6 during their International Rugby League Federation Oceania Cup test at Eden Park today.

Bati hooker Joe Lovodua scored Fiji’s first try under the sticks in the fifth minute with D’Rhys Miller crashing over two minutes later for their second.

Viliame Kikau also got on the scoreboard taking a slick pass from pivot Brandom Wakeham to burst over for his try on 14th minute.

Substitute forward Joseph Ratuvakacereivalu got the Bati’s fourth on 23 minutes initially called a double movement but reviewed by the Television Match Official to be awarded.

Samoa crossed for their first try of the match after 27 minutes of play through Timoteo Lafai who also added the extras.

Kikau got his double on the 36th minute mark, also the last say of the game.

Wakeham put on a brilliant kicking performance in the first half converting all five tries.
