TWENTY four men’s and 12 women’s teams will converge on the ANZ Stadium in Suva today for the Oceania Rugby 7s Championship.

This will be third consecutive year for Fiji to host the tournament with the event becoming more of a build-up to the World Sevens Series for teams that have qualified.

The Fiji Airways men’s 7s side is pooled with Papua New Guinea and Solomon Islands.

The Kalione Nasoko-captained side plays Cook Islands in its first match at 11am.

While the squad is set to see a range of new faces, the work ethic and intensity shown by the fresh and returning talent has been pleasing to head coach Gareth Baber as he finds a new level for his team going in to 2019.
