Oceania 7s: Australia wins women’s competition

THE Australian women’s team won the 2019 Oceania 7s competition defeating hosts Fiji 24-12 in the final.

Fiji made a dream start and scored two tries in the first spell to lead 12-nil at half-time.

Australia replied with four unanswered tries in the second spell to seal the win.

Inthe women’s third place playoff Japan SDS edged Samoa 26-21.
