FOURTEEN-year-old Lusia Nute was announced the lucky Central Division winner of The Fiji Times Tang Fusion promotion last week.
The Year Nine student of Dudley High School, who was all smiles when she was announced the winner, won one of three Sony Xperia C4 mobile phones.
“I am so happy to be winning this prize, a mobile phone,” the Kadavu lass said.
“I actually entered the competition several times after my aunt told me about it.”
The promotion, which ran from January 28 to March 25, required participants to fill a coupon published in The Fiji Times and Kaila! on their favourite mix of Tang flavours.
Tang, a powdered beverage distributed in Fiji by Motibhai Group, has also become a popular choice of beverage for many Fijian households.
Motibhai group marketing and business development manager Abraham Gomes said the promotion was open to everyone irrespective of age and to kindle the sense of innovation among people through mixing different Tang flavours together and creating unique tastes.
Mr Gomes said they were happy and satisfied with the overall response.
“It is young minds which are ready to discover and invent. This is the reason why we chose Kaila,” he said.
“Also, we felt that Tang Powdered beverage is always much better than consuming fizzy drinks, which attracts the young nowadays.”
Mr Gomes said they had given away 100 Tang branded Sports bottle along with 1000 packs of Tang Litro as consolation prizes, including the three major prizes of Sony Xperia C4 Mobile phone per winner.
