FIFTY nursing practitioners will meet in a three-day symposium at the Pearl Resort in Pacific Harbour to discuss challenges surrounding their profession.

The symposium was officially opened by Minister for Health and Medical Services Dr Ifereimi Waqainabete today.

Chief Nursing and Midwifery officer Margaret Leong said they had also roped in nurses from rural parts of the country to be part of the capacity-building training.

She said specialists in other medical areas are expected to speak at the symposium.

The symposium ends on Friday.
