NRC Final: Drua creates history

The Fiji Airways Drua side created history after defeating Queensland Country 36-26 in the  NRC grand final at Lautoka’s Churchill Park this afternoon.

The Mosese Voka-captained side put their bodies on the line and delivered the goods when it mattered most.

Having led 19-12 at the break, the side countered the visitors in all facets of the game to win infron of their home fans.

The hosts scored five tries to Country’ four.

The win is also the first ever for the Drua after losing in the semi-final last year.

Frank Lomani was awarded with the  best player.
