THE Fiji Airways Fiji Sevens team has to play every next game as a final if they hope to secure a fifth consecutive Hong Kong 7s title as well as the HSBS World Sevens Series.

“Nothing comes tougher than Hong Kong,” said Fiji Sevens coach Gareth Baber as the team had a hectic 12 kilometre run session yesterday at Albert Park in Suva.

“We have to play every game as a final,”

“The boys want to finish top of the world and the next tournament is the most important one,”

Fiji finds itself in one of its toughest pool yet this season heading pool C with the likes of the second seed All Blacks 7s, Australia and Kenya.

Yet Baber believes his players are no stranger to tough pools as they have encountered all season.

“But I know this group, we have done it several times going into tournaments, and that can be a galvanizing effect with the team.

“They stick together through tough times and they push on to get what we need.”
