Northlanders work overtime to promote sports

The people of Northland in Tailevu are working overtime to promote sports.

Thanks to the biggest food manufacturer and distributor in the region, FMF Foods Ltd, two rugby tournaments will be conducted at Nukuvuto ground at Queen Victoria School in Tailevu to enhance and promote athletes in Tailevu North.

The tournaments were launched at the FMF Foods Ltd headquarters at Walu Bay in Suva today.

FMF Group operations manager Jimi Taniela said the tournaments would help expose untapped talents in villages Tailevu North.

The FMF Victorian 7s to help QVSOB Northland Branch build a QVS hall, will be held on May 1 while FMF Nukuvuto Rugby and Netball Series to unearth sporting talents will be held from August to October.
