THE celebration of World Diabetes Day provides a time for reflection for all people.
Diabetes Fiji Community Program Coordinator, Marawa Kini highlighted this while addressing the celebration at Vunivau, Labasa today.
Mr Kini said it was also a day to reflect on the past achievements and failures and to focus on the future directions.
“This is also a day to say thanks to the forward thinking individuals and institutions who have tirelessly worked to improve the welfare of diabetics in whatever manner that they could,” he said.
“This is also a day to assess our milestones – both as individuals and as a nation.”
