THERE is no point crying over spilt milk, suspended SODELPA leader Sitiveni Rabuka said when questioned about the Fijian Elections Office’s decision to suspend the party for 60 days.

Speaking to journalists outside Parliament, Mr Rabuka said they had accepted the decision.

“No point crying over spilt milk but we can do the next best thing, and that is to come back united,” he said.

“We have all agreed to move quickly and come together in a meeting that will satisfy the Supervisor of Elections and registrar.

“We will submit a unified set of officials that we all agree with, hopefully he will lift the suspension in the next 60 days.”

The FEO has given the suspended party 60 days to resolve internal differences.

“Well, we respect that, we believe that we are now a suspended political party, and I am a member of a suspended party.”

Mr Rabuka said they would work on submitting a politically and constitutionally sustainable report to the Supervisor of Elections.

“We will be working together in resolving this issue.”

He said they would work out a solution soon and urged supporters to remain firm.
