Nine pairs of siblings inducted as Naqali prefects

IT was a special prefect induction for a group of students of Naqali District School in Naitasiri.

Nine pairs of siblings were inducted while another three siblings were made prefects.

Head teacher, Urmila Singh said they didnt expect the many number of siblings in various classes to be made prefects.

“I was quite surprised when I saw the nominated names when it came to me. This just shows the support and rearing of the parents, how they have brought up these children.

“If you must know our head girl this year, her brother was the head boy and another of their sibling is a prefect this year.”

“We appreciate the support of the parents. For a rural school, we face challenges but the parents have always stepped up.”

A total of 37 children from kindy to year 8 were inducted today.
