THE National Fire Authority rugby team has claimed the Commander Francis Kean Shield for the first time after beating Fiji Correction Service 20-26 at Thompson Park in Navua as the forces came together to commemorate Fiji Corrections Day.

“It was a hard-fought contest, but hats off to the boys that we finally took the top prize, which is very eagerly contested between the two services,” said Fire coach Akuila Nasi.

“We thank our comrades in the Wardens for allowing us to celebrate their corrections day with this annual rugby match.

“We look forward to meeting them again next year.”
