New teacher transfer regulations concern unions

TEACHERS’ unions have raised concerns about the Education Ministry’s new teacher transfer regulations.

Fijian Teachers Association general-secretary Paula Manumanunitoga said the ministry must pay all teacher transfer allowances and travelling expenses.

He claimed that the said allowances that used to be paid in the past were ceased by former Education Minister Dr Mahendra Reddy.
