Residents of Lautoka flocked in numbers to the newly-opened NEWWORLD IGA store at The Hub complex in Waiyavi yesterday.
This newest NEWWORLD IGA’s store located on the corner of Dravuni and Sukanaivalu Rd showcases enormous range of products with focus on improving health and wellness, including organic, sugarfree, vegan and gluten-free options included.
NEWWORLD IGA’s CEO Anil Patel said the newly-opened highly-quality supermarket would be equipped with the latest fit-outs, products and features and has also provided employment to about 100 full-time staff. Chief operations officer Peter Royce said NEWWORLD IGA strives to constantly improve the supermarket shopping environment for the people of Fiji.
“In this instance, we have the latest fixtures and fittings designed to enhance the store experience,” he said.
“We aim to provide the widest, quality-product range, from basics to aspirational lines which we source both locally and internationally to deliver the best mix for our customers.
“Fresh Bake is our registered brand. Under this umbrella we will freshly bake select artisan breads ondemand in the supermarket.
“You can order your bread at the beginning of your shopping and collect it at the end. There is nothing better than eating freshly-baked bread.” Store manager Jasaneel Kuar said most residents looked forward to the opening of the shop.
She added they were privileged to have been able to provide employment to Fijians from different employment sector.
NEWWORLD IGA Waiyavi store also offers a stand-alone liquor store with a wide range of award-winning wines, imported and local beers, spirits and ready-to-drink beverages.
The supermarket is open seven days from 7.30am to 5.30pm and the timings would change depending on curfew hours.
