RAM Sami and Sons (Fiji) Ltd is now the new major sponsor of the Nasinu Rugby Union club competitions for the next three years.
The company yesterday pledged $4050 for the winners and runner-up of the Senior A and Premier Grade competitions.
According to Ram Sami director, Prashneel Sami Goundar this was a way to help the community.
“We like to give back to the community and help out in sports and other activities,” Goundar said.
He said $1400 would be given to the winner of the Premier Grade final while the runner-up would receive $1000.
“As for the senior A division, $950 will be given to the winner while $750 will be given to the runner-up.
Nasinu Rugby Union secretary, Jone Tukana said it was a timely sponsor that would greatly help in improving their competition’s operations.
“With the donation it will truly lift the morale of the boys and also it will also inspire other youths to get themselves involved in sports in the future,” Tukana said.
In the Senior A division, it will be a battle of the two newcomers where Tovata will face off with Vatuwaqa. However, Uluinakau will play Newtown in the Premier division.
Games kicks off at 10:30am at the Assemblies of God Secondary School grounds in Kinoya, Nasinu.
