A new political party was officially registered for the 2022 General Election on Wednesday, bringing the total number of registered parties in Fiji to nine.
The registration of the party called ‘New Generation Party’ was made after the Registrar of Political Parties Mohammed Saneem approved an application filed on April 11 this year.
“There were no objections received and it was found that the applicants had successfully furnished all the particulars required under the law and hence the party has been duly registered,” Mr Saneem said.
