ONE of the country’s locally-owned franchises has opened another outlet in the rapidly growing Nakasi area to cater for the increase in demand from its customers.
Hungry Honchos opened its outlet at the Rups Mall in Nakasi last week and director Rohini Hamid says response from people have been overwhelming.
Mrs Hamid said Nakasi was a growing area and placement of the outlet provided the residents a perfect location for their meals.
The menu at the Nakasi outlet remains the same as the rest of the Hungry Honchos restaurants however there are some additions.
“The surprising thing is that there are people who already know about our product and the Nakasi outlet provides easy access to people in the area,” she said.
Mrs Hamid said all their restaurants were strategically placed in areas such as Damodar City Centre, Sports City, Suva City and now Nakasi.
According to Mrs Hamid the special feature of their product was they baked their own buns and made their own sauces for the chicken and offered a menu that was suitable for all types of customers.
She said they had started baking brioche buns which was slightly different from the normal buns they used for their meals.
While there were major chains of restaurants opening their outlets in the Nakasi area, Mrs Hamid said they were not really worried about competition because their product was unique and their competitive prices and quality of food made their restaurant attractive to customers.
The Nakasi branch for Hungry Honchos employs eight people and staff members are trained on a regular basis to keep them up to par with speed and delivery of service and food quality.
Meanwhile, with the huge success of their existing branches, Mrs Hamid said they had plans to expand their reach to the Western Division.
She said with the steady growth in their client base and business they planned to open another five branches in the near future.
