New lawyer for Tabuya trial

A new lawyer will be representing suspended Opposition MP, Lynda Tabuya in her trial.

Ms Tabuya who is facing a charge of malicious act which is linked to a social media post on her Facebook account appeared at the Suva Magistrates Court this morning.

It was informed in court the lawyer that will represent Ms Tabuya in her trial is Adish Narayan from AK Lawyers.

Ms Tabuya who is currently on bail had earlier pleaded not guilty to the charge.

The matter has been adjourned to July 7.
