Parents around the Kalabu area who often faced difficulties in sending their children to kindergarten have expressed gratitude after a groundbreaking ceremony for an ECE centre was held at Kalabu Primary School today.

Funded by the Japanese government, the centre will provide proper education as kindergarten students around Kalabu are being taught by volunteers.

“This is a big help, one that we have been longing for,” clan leader Paula Rawiriwiri said.

“We are happy knowing that our children are starting to get a proper education center.”
