Fiji Netball Association (FNA) has drawn up plans for the resumption of sports and beyond.
Association president RubyAnn Sorovaki said with the recent pandemic and the “no jab, no play policy in place, they had been working hard in organising a successful return to resumption of sports competitions.
“It is the only chance we have to return to play and we need to consider the impact in the bigger scheme of things such as the ability to travel and to participate in tournaments,” Sorovaki said.
“This information has been filtered to all players in our high performance squads, association presidents, executive members and staff over the past couple of months via virtual meetings, messages and emails.
“Our squad was to go into camp just before restrictions were implemented, so we are waiting for restrictions to be removed. We we have this camp to have the girls prepare for the Oceania qualifiers to be held in May or June next year.
“We need the athletes in training and playing given that there had been no chance for games for them on the home front. If funding is available, we hope to have the Super Four Championships again and an All Star Series featuring the Pearls, an under-21 side and a Fiji men’s representative side.”
