Update: 6:32PM A NEIGHBOUR of a former journalist who was allegedly murdered in her flat by her partner informed the High Court in Suva that he heard someone banging his or her head against the wall and thought it was Usaia Kilaiverata.
Winston Hill revealed this when he gave evidence for the State before Justice Priyantha Fernando today.
Kilaiverata is charged with one count of murder.
He was alleged to have murdered Losana McGowan at their flat in Toorak, Suva on April 14 last year.
Mr Hill said he heard the constant sound like someone being hit on the wall for at least five to six times until there was silence.
He said he went to sleep after he did not hear any other sound, and also the next morning when he went to work.
Mr Hill said he only found out about the alleged murder when he returned from work in the afternoon of the said date.
The trial continues before Justice Fernando tomorrow.
