And the National Disaster Management Office has also advised those living near rivers, streams and low-lying areas to exercise precaution as flash flooding may occur.
Parents are also strongly advised to be vigilant with children and to monitor their whereabouts.
The NDMO has advised against swimming and playing near and in flooded rivers and creeks.
Motorists and pedestrians are strongly advised against crossing flooded roads and crossings.
