Navua was a hive of activity this morning as they held their first-ever market day.

Riverside market day organiser Zarina Reece said it was also a platform for people who were laid off from their jobs due to COVID-19 to earn some money.

“This is the first-ever market day of its kind in Navua,” Ms Reece said.

“We had anticipated to have 25 vendors but today there are 40 vendors here.

“The turnout is so good and a lot have sold the items they brought.”

Ms Reece said plans are to organise something bigger in the future.
