Navosa netball trials

THE Navosa Netball Association is looking at selecting 13 players for the Jisoko Plateaus team during a trial today.

The side will compete in the Punjas Digicel League scheduled to take place from November to December.

The association in a statement said Fiji Pearls squad players such as Ivamere Soko, Una Raulini, Vaiti Waqa, Laniana Naisamu, and Milli Kotobalavu would feature for Plateaus in the tournament.

About 30 players are expected to take part in the trials with only 13 players to be selected for the league.

The association is thankful to the organisers of the league for the initiative to expose new players in the off-season.

After the selection of Jisoko Plateaus team today the side will participate at the Saivou 7s at Saivou District School grounds in Nanukuloa Ra next week.

Players who miss out on selection today will be drafted into the Salad Bowl team as part of their development team. Meanwhile the association is looking for sponsors to support the tour to Ra with a budget of $800.

The association is also looking at sponsors for its U20 team for its tour to Australia in March.

The association is also thankful for the support from Micks Fiji Tours and True Blue Hotel.

Some of the top players to attend the trials today are Mereia Narumasa, Rejieli Navabale, Anei Labakara, Litia Vatureba, Losalini Taufa from Serua, Anareta Natoba and Vikaili Ratubuli.

The trials will be held at the hard courts in Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.
