Naulivou pleads guilty to stealing items, cash worth $62k

A MAN charged with one count of aggravated burglary and six counts of theft pleaded guilty to all the counts before Justice Vinsent Perera at the High Court in Suva this morning.

Maleli Naulivou admitted to the court that he stole assorted items and cash from several people to the total value of $62,348.09 on June 30, 2018, in Samabula.

Meanwhile the second accused Eremasi Raileqe maintains his not guilty plea.

Justice Perera told Mr Naulivou to consult a Legal Aid lawyer for his mitigation as he is charged with a very serious offence.

The two have been remanded and the case has been adjourned to February 14.
