National women footballers join mom and pop league

THE Vodafone Fiji women’s football side joined the Fiji FA development officers during the Mom and Pop League at the FFA Ground in Vatuwaqa yesterday.

The Marika Rodu-coached side had a good time before they fly out to Samoa for the Pacific Games next week.

At the Pacific Games, our women footballers are pooled with hosts Samoa, American Samoa, Tonga and New Caledonia.

The XVI Pacific Games will be held from July 7-20, 2019, in Samoa.

It is set to attract more than 4000 participants from 24 Pacific island countries, including Australia and New Zealand.
