THE Vodafone National U17 team is in camp at the Fiji Football Association Academy in Ba in preparation for the UEFA U17 Development tournament in Israel later this month.

National head coach Christophe Gamel said it is a big opportunity for the boys to experience such a great tournament.

“The preparation is going well but we still do not have our full group because of players having exams and some attending the Coca-Cola Games. We never had our full group together to work on.

“But it will surely be a fantastic experience for the boys to participate in this huge tournament,” he said.

Gamel said they are also keeping the Mission 2026 into consideration.

“This is the group that we are focusing on for our 2026 mission and it is important that we start to work on them from now,” he said.

Fiji will play Ukraine, Republic of Ireland and hosts Israel as the tournament will be played from April 29 to May 5 in Israel.
