National Budget is the product of a two-man rule: Qereqeretabua

THE 2019/2020 National Budget is the product of a two-man rule, says Opposition member of Parliament Lenora Qereqeretabua.

She said blaming past governments and using legacy problems was the old and worn-out crutch some in the government side continued to use to cover up the FijiFirst Government’s failings.

Ms Qereqeretabua said the budget was aimed at strangulating ordinary Fijians.

“It is an attempt to salvage the pride of two men, who in adherence to the FijiFirst constitution have imposed their will upon all our people. “But the time to be silent is over,” she said. “There is no boom only a kaboom.”

Ms Qereqeretabua also highlighted that blaming children for the cancellation of the free milk scheme was juvenile.

“Why are children being blamed, when adults like the Hon Minister for Economy tabled that policy with much fanfare in the 2015 Budget claiming to turn promises into deeds.”
