Natabua U17 ready

FIRST-timers to the Fiji Secondary Schools Rugby League Vodafone Cup finals Natabua High School Bulldogs is ready for the challenge.

The Lautoka-based school will feature in the under-15 and U17 grade finals against Ratu Navula College Eagles and Ba Provincial Freebird Institute Dragon, respectively, tomorrow at Garvey Park in Tavua.

Natabua Bulldogs U17 team coach Tevita Volavola said the team had stepped up their preparation for the showdown.

The side met with the Dragons in the pool play and recorded a convincing win against them.

Natabua Bulldogs know the fight tomorrow won’t be as easy.

“It’s (the preparation) a step up from the semi-final because we know the opponent will be a tough one,” Volavola said.

“We know they will come better prepared this time because this is the final.”

Meanwhile competition sponsors Vodafone Fiji yesterday presented the side with training jerseys.

Volavola said they were grateful of the support adding it had boosted the morale of the players.
