FORMER Fiji 7s rugby playmaker Amenoni Nasilasila made his debut for the Nadroga rugby team in the Skipper cup competition last weekend and scored the Stallions bonus point try in the second half giving them a confident win.

Nasilasila replaced Apisalome Waqatabu in the fullback position and played the full 80 minutes of rugby showing off some of his 7s skills that helped Nadroga beat Naitasiri.

He said there was no difference between 7s and 15s because he loved both sports.

“I’ve been playing 15s rugby for my club Vusu Brumbies in the Nadroga Super Rugby franchise and it’s no difference, especially in the fullback position, where you monitor the game from the back and make your move,” Nasilasila said.

“I’m happy to have started my rugby with Nadroga and will continue to develop my rugby skills in 15s and at the same time keep my options open for 7s tournaments locally and in international competitions,” said Nasilasila.

Nadroga takes on Namosi on Saturday at Thompson Park in Navua.
