Namosimalua’s contract not renewed

Fiji’s Constitutional Offices Commission did not renew Viniana Namosimalua’s contract who acted as the acting secretary general to Parliament.
In a statement, the Commission has decided to re-advertise the position of the Secretary-General to Parliament.
President Jioji Konrote acting on the advice of the Constitutional Offices Commission has appointed the Deputy Secretary-General, Jeanette Emberson, to act as the Secretary-General to Parliament until a substantive appointment is made.
Ms Emberson’s acting appointment is effective from January 12, 2021.
