THE Namosi Provincial Council is working with the Fiji Corrections Service (FCS) to provide information on those serving time in their correctional facilities.

While addressing the Namosi Provincial Council meeting yesterday, Senior Assistant Roko Filimoni Taka said the information they had received from the Fiji Correction Service were clustered.

“The information we do have has the residence or place of work of those serving time in correctional facilities, however, it does not indicate which exact village they are from,” Mr Taka said.

He said they would need information on which village those inmates were from in order for them to return to their villages once they were released from their correctional facilities.

More reports from the Namosi Provincial Council meeting are in today’s edition of The Fiji Times.
