SOROKOBA boxer Savenaca Naliva is all geared-up for the much-anticipated vacant World Boxing Foundation Intercontinental Cruiserweight bout against the unbeaten New Zealander David Light in Auckland tomorrow.

Inspired by the legacy of his late boxing dad and former Fijian champion Filimoni Naliva, the 32-year-old will use this platform to challenge for other world title fights.

Naliva has nine of his past 11 bouts with one loss and a draw while Light has a clean nine fight record under his belt.

Boxing Commission of Fiji chairperson Sara Matai Bulutani said Naliva deserved the opportunity and the onus was on him to deliver the goods not only for himself but for the country as a whole.

The fight will be held at Auckland’s ABA Stadium.
