As schools gear up for the Weet-Bix Raluve Trophy national semi-finals next week, the Naitasiri Secondary School under-16 girls team have been working hard, doing the hard yards and going all out in preparations at their Naluwai school grounds daily.
They are on a mission to restore glory to the hills of Naitasiri and stand-in coach Semiti Soqoiwasa sang praises of the girls’ work ethic on and off-the-field.
“These girls are on a mission and I commend them for their outing last weekend in the quarter finals,” Soqoiwasa said.
“They played well last Saturday. They have come this far and we are all proud of their performances. We have our work cut out for us this week and these girls would really need to work on the defensive systems. We will iron out all these issues before next week.”
“We would always reiterate to them the need to always have team work. Teamwork will win you games and if you mix that with humility and faith in God, that is your winning combination and you can achieve anything.”
