BORDER Police have made a huge impact since its inception making airports safer for all the guests that come into the country.

Fiji Airports Airside Operations Manager Apenisa Nagatalevu highlighted this while officiating at the Fiji Police Force Border Unit first parade yesterday.

Mr Nagatalevu who thanked the Border Police for their commitment and dedication also advised the unit on the need to uplift and better service delivery this year.

Meanwhile, three special constables were also farewelled at the parade.

Two of the trio will be going in for recruitment this Sunday at the Fiji Police Academy in Suva while Women Police Constable (WPC) Meliki Marama will soon be transferred to Tavua Police Station.

Mr Nagatalevu wished the trio well and looked forward to their return.

The occasion also welcomed two of their officers who had recently graduated from the Fiji Police Academy last Friday.
