FIJI Airways Fiji 7s wing Alasio Naduva scored the try of his life when he married Vasiti Tuilau at the World Harvest Centre Church at Kinoya, Suva, yesterday.
The 29-year-old Fijian speedster was emotional saying that it was one of the best decisions he had ever made.
Now with his wife Vasiti by his side, Naduva has set his focus to the next World Rugby Sevens Series and the 2020 Japan Olympics.
“This is the best day of my life and most of all to have my wife by my side as I prepare for the next HSBC World Rugby 7s Series,” he said.
“I know this will be a big boost to me to elevate my performance in to another level and also the Olympics next year.” The Naweni villager from Cakaudrove said he met his wife in Nadi last year.
For Tuilau of Tubalevu Village, Namara, Tailevu, this is a new journey. I told him that whatever decision he makes, I will be by his side every step of the way,” she said.
“How we met, it’s a long story, but what I am grateful for is God giving me a loving husband that will be by my side for the rest of my life.”
Tuilau, 25, is a human resource officer at AMEX Resources Lt at Lautoka.
