NADROGA rugby union players boost the morale of the young ruggers participating in the Nadroga rugby sevens tournament at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

Former and current national reps like Setefano Somoca, Emosi Vucago, Ratunaisa Navuma, Josese Kurokavu, Eremasi Radrodro and Aisea Natoga were present at the ground to support grassroots rugby.

Nadroga rugby team veteran Somoca said it’s all about the development of the younger generation.

“It’s how we develop these young players to become better in the sport and even if they all can’t make it to the Nadroga senior team, they can still increase their knowledge through sevens rugby and be future national reps in the World Sevens Series.

“Playing rugby 15s a side is adaptable to anyone but sevens takes skills and knowledge. To start off playing sevens rugby at a young age will be a boost for these players,” said Somoca.
