PARVIN Lata of Votualevu, Nadi today walked away with a 2019 Toyota Hilux worth $80,000 as part of the Friendly North Festival 2019 text and win promotion.
Mrs Lata said she had texted about 10 times during the promotion and was excited when she was informed of her win.
Vodafone Fiji head of recharge and distribution, Nilesh Singh said they saw promotions such as this as an opportunity to give back to the community.
Mr Singh said Vodafone had been carrying out promotions such as this and had been actively involved with the Festival of the Friendly North.
“The customers had to send a text for 99c to 818 which put them in a draw to win the Toyota Hilux worth $80,000.
“In this case, the winner (Parvin Lata) sent 10 text messages worth $10 and in return she won the $80k vehicle.”
Mr Singh said the funds collected from the text and win promotion would be given to the festival to be used in their community projects.
