4 December, 2019, 7:03 am
THE three-day National Climate Outlook Forum will begin in Nadi today bringing together local stakeholders to talk Fiji’s climate approach.
Hosted by the Fiji Meteorological Service, the forum aims to promote the integration of climate information into decision making processes, including identifying measures that could be used by stakeholders to mitigate potentially negative climate impacts and obtain better climate-related outcomes.
The discussions are also an opportunity to communicate weather and climate outlooks with associated uncertainties, user views and obtain feedback for improvement of climate products and their access.
Representatives from FMS, the National Disaster Management Office, Government ministries such as Agriculture, Education, Fisheries, Health, the private sector and media organisations.
