Nadi targets development

NADI will be using its remaining six Vodafone league games to develop their young players.

Nadi will play rivals Lautoka on Friday before facing the Delta Tigers from Rewa on Sunday.

Team president Navneeda Goundar said development of their young players would be their main priority in the remaining games.

He said he would use the remaining games as a buildup for the Pacific Cup to be staged in Fiji next month.

Goundar said players had lost interest in the competition after the completion of IDC tournament and the focus was to develop their new boys.

“We are more concerned on development rather than winning our remaining league games,” he said.

“We have many talented young players in the team and we will be exposing them at the remaining league games.

“We will be also using the league games as a buildup for the upcoming Pacific Cup and we will be fielding various combinations in all these games.”

Goundar said the boys had been urged to give their best against Lautoka and Rewa this weekend.

He said these two games would best test these young boys.

“The boys have been preparing well for these two games and we will give our best shot.”
