Nadi on song

NADI bounced back from their 4-2 loss to Lautoka last weekend to defeat Ba 1-0 at Prince Charles Park yesterday.

Former Lautoka striker Josefa Dugucagi was the star of the green machine scoring the lone goal in the second spell.

The win was a special one for the jetsetters since it was their first home game of the season.

Team manager Kamlesh Sami said the loss against Lautoka motivated the players to work hard.

He said the boys played to the game plan being set out by their coaching panel.

“Winning against Ba in our first home game this season is special,” said Sami.

“The boys played according to the game plan set out by the coach. It resulted in their home win.”

Sami said the win bolstered the morale of players in readiness for their Fiji FACT title defence.

“We are proud to win in front of our home fans. The outcome of the game will inspire the boys to again deliver the goods during the Fiji FACT.

“Defending the Fiji FACT title will not be easy but such inspiration against Ba will motivate the players to do well.”

Sami said the new-look Nadi team has what it took to battle against the best 7 teams in the country.
