Nadi club celebrates success

MEMBERS of the newly formed Red Brick West Coast Storm rugby league team were treated to a dinner during the team’s awards night held at Boat Club in Wailoaloa on Friday night.
Four players were named the best players in their respective teams witnessed by family members and team supporters.
Joseva Vunisalevu was named the under-16 player of the season while Eliki Lagi walked away with the U18 best player award.
Setevano Lasei and Esira Gonebale took out top honours in the reserve grade team.
Members of the champion U16 team were presented with their certificates and a trophy for winning the FNRL U16 title earlier this year.
Team president Epineri Susu congratulated the award winners for their achievements and commended all players for their effort.
He said winning the U16 title in their first year of competition was a huge milestone for the club.
Susu said the awards night was to thank the players for their effort and inspire them to lift their form next season.
“This awards night is our token of appreciation to the players for the efforts throughout the season,” he said.
“Also to award our best players for their contribution for a successful season
“The award night will also motivate the players to do well next season.”
Chief guest and Nadi Aviators rugby president Joe Gray thanked the players and the officials for the effort that marked a new chapter for the club in their first year of participation.
He also encouraged the players to give their best and top work hard to become better players.
Susu also thanked Red Brick for supporting the club throughout the season.
