Nadi-based boxer Singh to prove his worth

THE moment has come for Nadi-based boxer Johnny Singh to prove his worth against his Australian fighter Adam Kaoullas in the World Boxing Foundation welterweight title contest.

Singh will be out to become the first Fijian to win in Australia under the WBO sanctioned fight after the defeat to Savenca Naliva, Vilimoni Taganikoro and James Singh recently.

Trainer Freddy Chand said the upcoming fight would be a mammoth task for Singh.

He said Singh had prepared well and would be out to do the country proud in Australia on Saturday.
