NADI has the potential to become a hub for medical tourism in the country.
Nadi Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Dr Ram Raju said this was a concept that had been discussed for a number of years.
“In fact when the Heart International first started, we could see that this could become a leading centre for medical tourism,” he said.
“This is where patients from neighbouring countries, especially Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Island countries, suffering from heart attacks can fly into the country and get treated here within a few days with the coronary angiogram and stents.”
